We strongly encourage you to explore PRISM or any other contact manager system (CMS) to help you organize, build, and utilize your relationships. Without some sort of system your likelihood to stay on track and continue to nurture your relationships to help you get this next job will likely flounder. During this transition, you may end up speaking with hundreds of people and you’ll want to be able to keep track of them in a system which makes it easier to track and follow up as well as to correspond with them after you have landed your new job, so that you can thank them for their support along the way.

We know that networking during a job transition can be stressful. Please remember, as soon as you get that next job, you have the most exciting story to tell than you have had for the past few weeks or months. Now is absolutely the best time to follow up with those you had spoken with during your transition.
