Assignment 3: Flipping Your Iceberg Copy

Flipping Your Iceberg

Time:  2 1/2 – 4 hours over next month

Now it’s time to make a plan to reach out to each one of these 15 individuals in the next month.  Come up with a process.  Be sure to read the blogs below to help you come up with a process.

  1. Read the 24/7/30 Principle Blog

  1. Read The PRISM 5-Minute Methodology

To take action will require setting networking goals, being an initiator, and managing and tracking your relationships.
  • List realistic goals you can reach out to and initiate contact with others. We suggest a personal form of contact, such as face to face, FaceTime, or a call, rather than texting or emailing.
  • Everyone feels good about people remembering them and reaching out…especially when there are no strings and it is just to say hello and catch up. This shows you care and are interested.  Were you ever upset when someone just reached out to you to say hi? Go ahead! Not only will you make their day, but yours too!

You can keep track of all this in PRSIM by creating “category tags” and setting “follow ups”.   Please see the Resources Tab if you need help with this.

*Make it a practice to come away from each interaction discovering something new about them and make sure to enter it into your notes in their contact information.

REMEMBER the importance is to set-up a new follow-up after every engagement or interaction. Following up shows you:
  • Are interested.
  • Are organized.
  • Do what you say you will do.
