Identifying a Mentor:

To identify a mentor you will want to find someone who:

• Can fill in gaps in your skillset
• Brings other perspectives 
• You admire and respect
• Is supportive, encouraging, honest
• Is an articulate communicator
• Who is happy in their job
• Can connect you with others who would be valuable to know

Places to look for a mentor:

• Current or past workplace
• Leaders in your field or a field you aspire to be in
• Alma maters in alumni systems
• LinkedIn
• Friend or relative with experience
